Cape Counseling Services is a private, not for profit (501-C3) Community Behavioral Health Care provider serving Cape May County. Cape Counseling's Mission is "To promote and provide superior behavioral healthcare in the community." Cape Counseling Services provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment services under contract with the Division of Mental Health Services, the Division of Addiction Services, the Division of Youth and Family Services and the Division of Child Behavioral Health Services.
As the only publicly funded provider of Mental Health and Recovery Services in Cape May County, CCS has been an efficient and effective steward of public funding, providing a full array of psychiatric and behavioral health services to meet the unique needs of Cape May County residents. Cape Counseling Services has also provided clinical services under contract with the County of Cape May since 1979. Clinical and Supportive Services offered through Cape Counseling include the Following:
Screening Services located at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House, Adult and Child Outpatient Services inclusive of individual, couple, marital, group and family therapy for persons experiencing emotional/ psychiatric and or co-occurring disorders; Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Treatment (Transition Towards Wellness); Psychiatric Assessment, Medication Monitoring Services, Adult Partial Care, Child/Adolescent Partial Care, Integrated Clinical Case Management Services; PATH (Programs for Assistance/Transition through Homelessness-Services for Consumers who are homeless); PACT (Programs for Assertive Community Treatment), Adult Residential and Supportive Housing Services, Child/Adolescent Residential Services and Supportive Housing Services, Youth Case Management, In-Home Child & Family Therapy and Behavioral Health Assistance Services, Family Preservation Services, School Based Youth Services, Intensive Family Support Services, Intensive Outpatient Services for Substance Abuse (IOP), Women's CHOICES Program, FAAP (Family Adolescent Alcohol Program and Aftercare Recovery Services; Residential Liaison (Recovery) services and the County's IDRC program (Intoxicated Driver Resource Center).
Cape Counseling's vision is to create a community-based behavioral health service that is four-fold in nature. Responsive to community needs, holistic, comprehensive and state of the art. These services should be accessible, affordable and aligned with other community mental health organizations, with a heart in the present and an eye to the future. Cape Counseling Services strives to provide services from a client centered and recovery oriented perspective in which services are tailored to client identified needs and motivation for change. The focus of our treatment approach at CCS is to assist each client to improve upon their quality of life and ability to meaningfully and productively function in an area of their choosing.
